A little Shopping

I love shopping...really what woman doesn't? Well I know a few, but I think they have severe mental problems! So I sent my husband an email yesterday with the sob story of:

"I have no clothes (lie)...all the shirts I have are ripped (lie)....have pit stains (truth, but that's for another blog)...don't fit (semi-lie)...can I go get some new stuff (we have depleted our cash supply on new windows the past couple weeks)"

So he says "sure"!

Great!!!! I heart shopping, maybe more than I heart cigarettes!!!

So I get home, sit through a delicious dinner or grilled salmon, all the while thinking of that glorious moment that I walk through the doors of the Gap Outlet and shirts and pants and Capri's and skirts gather round me and start dancing that beautiful shopping dance.

And then it stops, my husband tell me he's tired, he doesn't want to go, maybe I can take Collin and get him some new flip flops while I am there....music starts again...Ok, cause my weird 4 year old son has been shopping with me since he was only a week old. He gets excited to shop, loves it, and the idea of new flip flops makes it even better.

Dinner done, husband is cleaning up, Collin and mom hop in the car. My heart is racing, I am so excited. On the way we talk of flip flops, swim trunks and volcano's. We get in to the mall and head straight for the Gap outlet!!! Walk through the doors and nothing...no dancing shirts, pants, or Capri's...NOTHING. Unless you were like a size 4 with no boobs, which my friends, sadly to say I haven't been a size 4 in about 10 years and I have never had no boobs (I think I was born a C-cup frankly!)

It's Ok, not a big deal. I can handle this. So off to another store...Old Navy. I can always find something there! Again, nothing. Ugly and nothing. I am sorry, but I am casual girl. I want to wear khaki capris, pink capris, green capris, all pastel capris...and Polo shirts, in all colors(well mostly black and white because of the pit stain factor). Thats me. I am not leopard, lion, zebra, whatever animal print. At least I found 2 of the cutest pairs of flip flops for my flip flop loving son! And I must mention that he has been very good through this whole letdown shopping extravaganza.

Ok, not a problem, on to American Eagle. I know they have polo's in ever color, ya for like 30 bucks a piece! WTF. Go to the sales rack, find the cutest shirt with tiny baby blue and white flowers, I love, I have to have it. In the meantime, Collin is sitting on the couch in there:
"Mom, these girls are annoying me"

"Collin, just sit, mommy's almost done"

"But mom, I'm gettin hungry"

"Well I told you to eat dinner, now sit and watch the scary music videos"

"But mom, I'm getting kinda boring"

"Play with your flip flops"

And as I was about to go to the register with the fantastic cute shirt, a girl comes up to me and says

"Oh I have that shirt, it's really cute on"

Duh, thats why I'm buying it.

"But it runs really big"

WTF are you talking about the is AE, land of the tiny tiny clothes, this is a larger size so it should fit.

Well, I try it on, look pregnant, grab Collin and home we go, with nothing but a couple pairs of flip flops and a very depressed mommy.

Until next time.....
